Privacy Policy

PlayNest is a parent-controlled game playground for children ages 3–8. We are committed to protecting the privacy of both parents and children who use our service.

We collect only what is strictly necessary to operate the service:

• Parent account data: Email address and display name, used to authenticate you and identify your account.
• Child profiles: First name, chosen avatar (emoji), and color. We do not collect birthdates, photos, or any identifying information about your children.
• Play activity: Which games were played, for how long, and difficulty settings. This data is used exclusively to power the parental reports you see in your dashboard.
• Parent PIN: Stored as a one-way cryptographic hash (SHA-256). We cannot recover or read your PIN.

• No advertising identifiers or tracking cookies
• No behavioral profiling or cross-site tracking
• No payment information (handled entirely by Stripe/App Store)
• No precise location data
• No camera, microphone, or contact access
• No children's real names, ages, photos, or school information

PlayNest is designed for use by parents on behalf of children under 13. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

• Child profiles are created and controlled entirely by parents.
• We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.
• Children interact only with game content — they cannot create accounts, enter text, or communicate with anyone.
• Parents may request deletion of all data at any time by emailing us.

Your data is used only to:

• Authenticate your parent account
• Display child profiles and game access in your dashboard
• Enforce the time limits and scheduling rules you set
• Show you play reports and statistics
• Send transactional emails (e.g., password reset)

We never use your data for advertising, profiling, or sale to third parties.

PlayNest is built on Supabase, which stores data in secure, encrypted databases hosted on AWS (US East). All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Row-level security policies ensure each parent can only access their own family's data.

You may delete your account and all associated data at any time from your parent dashboard, or by emailing hello@playnest.app. Deletion is permanent and irreversible.

We use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

• Supabase — database and authentication
• Cloudflare — CDN and hosting

No advertising, analytics, or social media SDKs are embedded in PlayNest.

If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you by email before the changes take effect. Continued use of PlayNest after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
